Anyone know how to go about getting a pre-paid SIM for the UK from a provider such as Orange. They seem to have something called "Pay as you go" - can I get that while I am still in the US? Will they ship to the US? |

There are plenty of websites of online providers, they might ship to you. I don't know of the kiosks at Heathrow, but I imagine that you would be able to find a pay as you go phone with Orange there. As an Orange customer myself, I do recommend them!

| I would imagine that the Orange kiosk sells you the same rates as the Orange website... I am trying to recall if I actually have seen orange there... I am sure Vodafone had one and O2 (BT)... But in general it is very easy in Europe to find a cell phone store. I don't have any experience with ordering prepaids from over here. C. |

I just went through Gatwick Airport and I believe they have the same kiosks as well. Orange or Vodaphone Sims should be availiable everywhere at your point of entry...
