Default What is best coverage for Santa Cruz/Scotts Valley?

I currently have Cellular One, and, per other postings here, it's not the best as far as plan selection... However, my biggest complaint is the coverage. Traveling from Scotts Valley, where coverage is extremely spotty (none at my house which is w/in 1/4 mile of Hwy 17.), toward Soquel on Hwy 1, I have three zero coverage zones.
Does anyone know of a better coverage solution???

haven't tried anything else... How do I know about these pockets of dead air? I can't imagine anyone will be honest about them in selling me a service plan.

If I am not mistaken those areas are very mountainous (low mountains, but mountains nonetheless) and such terrain is known to be difficult to cover. (Good Gravy Charlie Brown, you can't even get decent FM radio signal sometimes so don't expect FM transceivers to do any better!)

Verizonicon has a 15 day non-penalty (no cancellation chargeicon) trial period. Give them a try.
