Default AT&T wireless and Verizon web site major flaw

I live in Central California but travel throughout the state and after reading the following web site
I wanted to compare ATT, Cingular, Sprint, Verizon for California service providers

http://whitehare.topcities.com/WirelessPhones.htm

Imagine my surprise when at BOTH the AT&T and Verizon sites, it asks for a zip code and then refuses
to give me any information at all! What a freaking joke. These people have no clue. There may or may
not be service in my zip code, but that DOESN"T MATTER. I can't believe how idiotic some companies
are. Plus you try their web site feedback sucks and probably isn't looked at anyway.

I assume the worst of all businesses until proven otherwise and this is just another example of
why.

Looks like I'm going to be going with Cingular.

Plugging in my zip code on Verizon's website works fine for me.

Well, first of all, thanks for actually reading my website.

Indeed, as TNDan indicated, the zipcode lookup on both sites works fine. Sometimes however, their databases do "burp" and tell you that service is not available for the zip you entered. In those cases I highly recommend you visit one of their local stores.

You mention the Central Valley, but no specifics. I live in Tracy and have relatives and friends as far down as Fresno & Visalia. Also I have friends and business acquaintences all the way up to Chico. So I am well-acquainted with the Central Valley. I know that both ATT and Verizon do have coverage and stores in those areas. Last weekend, while up in Rocklin, I spotted ATT, Cingular and Verizon stores.

no website is perfect. the internet is a volatile place. i have seen all the carriers websites make small mistakes which are usually technical and fixed shortly thereafter.

it works fine for me too.

Maybe they dont have service in your area.. (i think you said something to that affect).

I think its nice and professional of them to not try to sell you service if you type in a zip code and it acknowledges that your area isnt covered. I think its a lot better than buying service and realizing that it doesn't work in your area and having to go through the return process. To simplify your request, why don't you just load up the websites again and type in a zip code that DOES have service? If you are as persistant as you seem, then that would be best.
