Default Sprint PCS service in San Francisco Bay Area

I am strongly considering choosing Sprinticon for wireless phone service in the San Francisco Bay Area and would appreciate feedback. Is this an OK choice? Will I regret the decision because of poor coverage? Is there something bad about Sprinticon that I don't know about? Thanks.

No matter what anyone else's opinion is the best choice is to try it for yourself in the places you need it and see if it meets your needs. Everyone has different needs and different expectations. You have a trial period that you can use the phone.

That aside, I think you will find S.F. service fairly strong.

Many improvements have been made in the Bay area in the past year. Give them a shot and see and you can always cancel within 14 days. I'd recommend either the Sanyo 5150 or 6200. If you're on a budget the Kyocera 2255 for $99 is a good value.

    Give them a try

I will also ad one phone to the list of inexpensive phones the sanyo 4700 for $149.99

Thanks much for the feedback. No recommendations for the Samsung A400? It's a great looking phone, and I like the flip case.

The reason I won't recommend the Samsung A400 is because a couple of newer and better models (A460 & A500) are coming out very soon with more features and 3G capable. The A400 still might be a good choice if you don't care about 3G and caller ID display on the outside.

The SamSung A-400 looks like a good phone it is getting great reviews on Circuitcity.com and Sprinticon has it on sale right now I believe. The only bad thing is newer SamSung's are coming out soon and as Larry stated the phone doesn't have an external Caller ID display.

I'm a Sprinticon subscriber, and I have to say, Sprinticon has terrible service out of metropolitan areas. Go with AT&Ticon.

It would be nice if posters were required to register.

Anonymous, I recently tried Sprinticon PCS and you might want to consider what I did. Sprinticon PCS has demo phone's that you can borrow from them for a few days or so to try out the service and see if its right for you or not. It's free and you don't have to sign up for anything.

Just take your driver's licnese and a credit card with you and they will let you take one out.
