Default Sprint off network roaming rates reduced!!

Sprint now includes Arizona, Nevada, and Mexico along with California for the reduced off network roaming rate of .39 cents/min. Previously the .39 cents only included all of California. I expect that they will also be reducing rates in other areas to.

Thats good news larry. I think that sprint could benefit if all of there off network minute prices were the same. a flat 39 cents across the country would be nice.

They don't own any analog networks so they can't afford to do that. The other carriers who offer no roaming charges all have analog networks. AT&T, Verizon and Cingular. But when Sprint gets just a little bit more digital footprint such as their Montana markets later this year, maybe they will surprise everyone and drop the roaming charges on some plans. They will be adding Grand Island, Nebraska next week and some additional CA markets this summer.

Cool............. Know what I think Sprint should do...............kinda like Verizon. Make a National rate plan........charge more money for it...............and have no roam. Yes I understand that you said Sprint cannot aford to have analog networks.........but if they charge enough money for a national coverage..people will pay for it and not have to worry about roaming. Uhhhhh..............or is that what you were trying to tell me........

the one thing i like about sprint pcs roaming is that aollow you to by roaming bundles for 10 bucks but its not much 50 airtime minutes. But i think alot of companies could benefit and breakdown a small portion not alot but just a chunk of the bad debt ratio.
