I think this topic already came up a long time ago by other user. I am now using AT&T now and am very happy with the service. But like one of our member mention that he/she experience no sound during the phone call. .... People keep saying is the phone problem... Yesterday I experience the same thing, at midnight where the network should be the lightest.... The call is answer and I can't hear from the other side and people can't hear me either. My friend call back.... same thing.... I call again..... this time I can hear the other side, but the other side can't hear me.... it is not because of cell phone or landline because I try both........ my phone is brand new Nokia 8260 ... and i really hope and think it is not the problem.. Any one can share their experience? Thanks alot |

Sunsun, hello. Its been a while since we've heard from you. Sorry to say this, but it truly sounds like a short in the circuitry of your phone. I found it a little difficult to follow your post. The phrasing and sentence structure was very choppy, so I hope I understood your request. Kevin |

I experience the same problem. I'm located in So Cal, inland LA area. I will have, on occasion, a call where I can hear the other person perfectly and they cannot hear me. It usually happens if I only have 1 or 2 signal bars. My phone is a Nokia 3360. I complained to my local rep about the problem and they provided me with a new phone. 2 hours after my new phone was activated I had exactly the same problem in an area where my phone showed full signal. Other party could not hear me even though I could hear them. New phone is also a 3360. |

I have experienced this problem with ATT also several times. A few phone calls back and it seems to clear up.

I am an employee of ATT Wireless Customer Care in the NY market and can honestly say that there were definitely a bad batch of 3360s and 8260s that went out since the mid of last year. If your phone is less than a year old, then you can always have it replaced thru cust care for like-new(refurbed) euipment. "Refurbed! But my phone was new when I bought it" Understandable, however we are responsible for any problems or issues you have w/ the svc, such as the network and coverage, not the equipment you purchased. However we do understand that you need to get a phone to used the network and that is why we offer this svc.

adding to the above. Anyone complaining that their phone was new when being offered refurbished, must know that their phone is NOT new now. If you are within 30 days of having bought it, you can get a new one in return or change to another model and pay the difference.

Adding again If your phone is over 30 days and you do not want the refurbished phone. You always have the option of calling the manufacture directly and sending your phone back to them to have them fix it and then send it back to you. The only problem with this is that you have to wait around 4-6 weeks to received your same phone back, and that's why allot of the carriers offer some type of exchange program so you do not have to go without service. Your best option would be to take advantage of the exchange program offered by your carrier. The "like-new" phone will have brand new plastics, front and back, on the outside (which is great if you have scratched or scuffed the plastics on your old phone) and upgraded software on the inside (nice if there has been a software upgrade since they purchased their phone). A complete internal diagnostic is done on all refurbished phones. JOSH |
