I live in Phoenix, and have had Sprinticon for 3 years now and am semi-satisfied with the service. I would like to stay with CDMA technology and I know that Verizonicon looks like a good company service area wise in Arizona. I would like input from current subscribers or those who know about Verizonicon and it it's worth my time to switch, or should I stay with the old spcs service. Thanks

First, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." If Sprint works well for you, consider sticking with it.

Second, Verizonicon is a very good company and has a customer service center in Tempe, so you'll get better information from them than I would. They use it.

Third, Verizonicon coverage is better in AZ than Sprint. You'll get continuous coverage along I-17 to at least Flag. Then east and west through most populated areas.

4th, the only downside to Verizonicon is that they are still analog in some places. But if you use Sprint, you may not go to those places. Verizon just bought the towers in Pinal & Gila counties, so they will be digital there, soon, meaning within a year or so.

Verizon's plans are more competitive than Sprint's, especially if you get the local plan which includes the whole state except the SE and NW corners. Their 12-state SingleRate West plan would be ideal for you, and Verizon now has a bunch of phones from which to choose.

You certainly won't be sorry you went with Verizon and you'll have 15 days to try the service, first. I might add, Alltel is just as good in Arizona as Verizon, and their customer service is just as good.

Just want to say I am having nightmares with Verizonicon service here in Phoenix; just swithched from Cingular to Verizonicon in CA. I am working here in Phoenix and I have gone thru three nokia 5185i's in the first three weeks and the service has been awful. My phones drop calls and require multiple calls to make a connection.

I suspect it is a problem with the NOkia 5185i which looks identical to the the nokia 5190 cingular phone I used successfully for two years but I'm not sure. Customer service has given me three different stories in the last week and are very un helpful in general and sometimes rude.

I am cancelling the service as soon as I can bring back the phones. Absolutely horrifying experience.

Thank you for the info. I have heard that Alltel is very good in the state. I am still debating that Verizonicon would be a good service to have but I don't want to pay the money to get a new phone and the whole bit. I am thinking about trying it for the 15 days and see what happens. Again thank you for the insight, any other views from others would be appreciated as well...

I use both service and I am not a daily user in Arizona only when I travel down there, but if I had to pick between the 2 Verizon Wirelessicon would be the carrier of chocie. Just for the mere fact that they have always given me the coverage were I needed it, and with there new America choice pricing I get with Verizon Wirelessicon, now they give me the pricing. Although Sprint PCS offers me $74.99 for 900/7100 N&W were Nights start at 9:00pm. And Verizon Wirelessicon Offers me 900/3000 N&W $75.00 and there nights start at 8:00pm. The toss up was between the coverage and the customer service. And Verizon Wireless has them out beat, Well for my area anyway, Take it for what it's worth styles are meant for different people.
