VoiceStream has made an agreement to begin offering service in California and Nevada possibly by mid 2002 using Cingular's GSM structure. Basically both carriers will be sharing the same towers and offering the same coverage but with their own pricing and plans. In return, Cingular will be given coverage in NY markets by sharing VoiceStream's towers.
