Just moved to Bend from So. Ca. and getting ready to drop Verizon. I can not find a company that has free nights and weekends. Friends are suggesting U.S. Cellular and Cellularone. I am on an extended network with my Verizon on either Sprint or US Cellular with constant dropped calls. Also have lost 1000 mobile to mobile since we are out of the Verizon network. Any suggestions? My direct e-mail is davemcdowell@bendbroadband.com |

That's unusual... I usually have really good service when I go to Bend and area...even with my old crappy Motorola v120e phone... Have you tried doing *228 send and option 2 to update your roaming capability lately?? it might help. It might possibly be the phone..??? T-Mobile gets service in Bend...you can always try them out. They offer nights and weekends. But you would have to be staying right around that area. http://www.t-mobile.com/coverage/?class=coverage ATT TDMA i think is still working there....but they are phasing that out and I know GSM isn't advanced enough with them.... www.attws.com Good luck to you

Thanks for the advice. Actually, I have spent quite a bit of time on the phone with Verizon. They have two extended network towers not too far from our house. They have suggested on our next trip to Portland to use *228 to see if it will improve our connection to those sites. If that works I am waiting to see what they will offer to offset our loss of 1000 mobile to mobile minutes since we are out of their network. If they up our minutes we may stay with them.
