New Sprint tower coming to Hermosa Beach, CA

In case anyone's interested there's a new tower going up in the downtown area of Hermosa Beach near the pier on Hermosa Ave. It will improve coverage along the beach and to all the shops, restaurants, etc. It should be on the air in about 4-6 weeks as construction is underway.

That is great Larry, I was down there last summer with my brother who has Sprint icon

, he could not make calls from the restaurant near the pier.

That's great. I'm moving there in about a week. I was at a Bank of America at Hermosa Beach, and I didn't get any signal at all indoor. My T608 gets full bar outdoor while the VI660 only gets 1 bar.

Hermosa Beach is kind of a funny area to cover with the way the elevations area not to mention how busy it can become during peak traffic times. This one should certainly help along the beach area near the pier. It's going to be a fake 20 ft. light post on top of a 3 story parking structure.

Update this antenna is now complete and on the air. I was there yesterday and took this picture of it. It really is a unique installation.
