It's taken 3 years for this but Sprint finally convinced the City of Big Bear Lake to approve a 3rd tower for them which will cover the Western portion of the city. They also have two other towers in operation (not mentioned in the article) in unicorporated areas (Fawnskin & Big Bear City). Big Bear tower article |

Larry, Very nice icon! Do you think, with all the money they spent, that it will be a letdown if they don't reach the WS this year? |

Well no matter how much money a team spends it's still very hard to make it to a World Series. Remember when the Yankees (who spend much more than any other team) couldn't beat the Angels a couple of years ago? It just takes some luck on top of the caliber of players they have and that might not happen. The Angels happen to play in one the toughest divisions as well. But I think anything short of making the playoffs will be a huge disappointment.

You're right about that Larry. Look at the Angels in the late seventies-early eighties when they had all those great players and ended up with nothing to show for it. Anyway, can't wait for the Angels season to start! |
