I am currently on the AT&T TDMA service in the San Diego area. My contract is up and I'm looking to switch carriers/service since I've been getting poor service and many dropped calls lately.

My requirements for a phone is a slide, clamshell or flip style phone with a built in speakerphone. Does anyone have any recommendations for this type of phone and the corresponding service/carrier?

The one phone that is extremely appealing to me is the Siemens SL56. However, it appears that this is only available through AT&T. Thanks for your help.

The Audiovox cdm8600 is a very nice, small flip style color phone with speakerphone, for verizon.

I don't know how their service is in San Diego, but I have Cingular here in the Ukiah area (I very recently switched from AT&T GSM), and I am very impressed with their phones, coverage and customer service. I know Sprint has excellent coverage in So Cal, and have some really sweet looking phones, though I don't know about San Diego. The Nokia 3600 is an excellent phone, and has a built in speakerphone, also, Cingular carries the Siemens S56, here's a list of their phones, hope that helps [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

The Sanyo RL2500 has a speakerphone, also the Sanyo SCP5500 is supposed to be out soon, basically the same phone with a camera and dark blue color. They also have PTT. You can check them out at Phonescoop.com.
