Having just moved to SSF, the westborough area to be more specific, I have found my AT&T phone doesn't receive any signal in my house.. Outside to about a 6 block radius 1-2 bars. Not enough to make or receive a call. I have Cingular for work, so I brought it home & I only get 2 bars with them. Most of the time I can make or receive a call, but unfortunetly, it's very spotty at all the places I work(I work out in the field), so I need a different carrier for those times. Anybody ever have any good success with Sprint or Verizon in this area? Since my contract w/AT&T is up soon, I would like to change. None of my firends have Sprint or Verizon, so I can't compare. From doing some research people seem to be unhappy w/Cingular & AT&T in the area I just moved to. |

I have used both Sprint and Verizon extensively in the bay area. Both perform very well. I recommend getting a Sprint phone at Costco (no activation fee and easy returns) and trying it out for the 14 day trial period. Sprint is starting their off-peak minutes at 7pm for no additional cost, which is pretty tough to beat.

I'm surprised you're not getting any good TDMA reception though -- I had ATT TDMA for years and had no trouble in South City with that service. | |

SSF huh? We lived right on the border there for a few years, in San Bruno up above the Cemetary off of Sneath Lane. Beautiful area and view, but we could never afford to live there now, though prices up here in Mendo County are getting pretty bad too, all the Sonoma County Refugees (which were formerly Marin Refugees which were former Bay Area Refugess) lol
