Default Need analog prepaid phone card

Yes, I have an analog phone installed in my car (came built in). It cannot be removed and it operates a wonderful hands free system. My problem is that I only use it about 5 minutes per month (emergencies and a few calls). This is not enough usage to justify any of the monhly plans that still support analog service. I would like to use a prepaid phone card thus be able to purchase, say a $10-$25 card where the minutes are good until used up. Are any such plans available or are there any monthly plans available for say $10-$15. I live North of Seattle. Thanks, Dave

You won't be able to get away without a monthly recurring charge, because it costs the carrier a certain amount to keep a number active in their system. However, for the minimal usage you are contemplating, Tricell offers some pretty good analog plans (starting at $11.95 per month). They resell AT&T Wireless analog service and are based in Seattle. You can also try Savecell, who offers higher per-minute pricing for airtime and long distance, but slightly lower monthly rates.
