Default Verizon in Denver area, poor quality

Does anyone have a Motorola v60i and live in denver? If so do you experience blotchy calls and inconsistent signal bars while staying in one spot (not moving).

I go into analog mode every now and then and also I will drop a call everynow and then and then it rings through my speaker and says all circuits are busy now. Also my signal bar will go from 5 to 1 then 1 to 5 all the time while i sit in the same chair in my house in west littleton.

I used to be pretty happy with verizon but it seems that their service has degraded over the past months.

I just got my 4th v60i from them with new software and prl, so just wondering if anyone else has been noticing these things.

I compare verizon at times to the cricket service i used to have. Is it just my luck??

Elijah,
I haven't had any experience like that and I just moved from east Littleton with a v60i. Littleton ends at the river. Are you really in unicorporated Jefferson County with a Littleton mailing address? There are several Verizon sites in both locations, the newest of which is at the school that overlooks the RR tracks along Santa Fe and just north of the Verizon store in Aspen Grove.

I would think that you have a broken cell site near your home. I would expect this doean't happen elsewhere in town, because it doesn't to me or my family. It took several complaints, but they eventually fixed a cell site near my house (Broadway and Belleview) that would inexplicately switch into analog almost every night. After a month, I complained every day it happened until they fixed (it took only 4 complaints).

BTW, I never had more than a bar or two w/VZ at the old house, but Cricket's site was visible out the window. Performance was 100% there w/VZ, and so-so w/Cricket.

VZ had an All Circuits Busy problem in 2001, but fixed it once they installed more trunks from Qwest. At the site near you, it could be having trouble communicating w/the switch.

I don't doubt your problems at all, but it sounds like something going on locally. Your 'bars' would vary as your phone looks for other sites around the area, which fluctuate with traffic. Be the squeaky wheel. I get perfect service as i drive by on C-470.

-Bill
