Default anyone else having reception problems?

    Hi everyone,
this is my first post on the board. i've been lurking most of the time, and I haven't really had the need to ask for any help until now.

i live in berkeley, ca and i have cingular. i've always gotten GREAT reception where i live. however, all of a sudden, i don't have reception anymore. did a cell site go down or something? and if it did, how can i check on that?

    thanks everyone!

Call your provider, tell them about your problem. After they make you jump through hoops, a trouble ticket will be issued. Get the number, after about 48 hours you will be able to get a report. If they find that there is a problem with the tower, they will tell you and when you can expect it to be rectified.

I'm sorry that your first visit to us was under unpleasant circumstances, but welcome to the board. Everyone here, is very helpful and will make you feel right at home, so hurry back.

    thanks for the welcome

oddly enough, my reception came back this morning. so, i guess what ever went wrong was fixed. odd. i've never encountered that problem before.

i even tried to look for the cingular network on my ATTicon phone manually, but i couldn't find it. by the time i woke up this morning, my phone worked.

thanks for all the help though.
