Default Express Network Unlimited Calling Plans!

I am looking around for either a new notebook or a PDA, My Axim died yesterday. I was over at Gateway's site, and one of the options was to pick a Verizon Wireless Plan and/or modem. When I clicked the down arrow to see all the options, the first one as for a Express Network Untimited Calling Plan ($99). This is not the normal Unlimited MB Plan for $99, it was listed further down. I thought this might interest some of you. I hope the link below works.

Default Express Network Unlimited Calling Plans!

mcf04581 - The plan you are speaking of just covers data (unlimited MB plan). Voice calls you will pay $0.25 a minute for all your calls, or add a calling plan to it for a better rate. In my market it is still $99. The plan they list on Gateway is for unlimited voice & data for $99

Default Express Network Unlimited Calling Plans!

Can you confirm what speeds you are getting with this connection? I would be interested to know what Verizon is getting on thier 3g network.

Default Express Network Unlimited Calling Plans!

azcellphonejunkie, I have used it on my home PC in SoCal. I average around 45-55K most of the time. A couple of times it was around a 100K. I just need help making it work on a Pocket PC, I think it is a moto. phone problem not the PPC. But help is scarce, even on the PDA forums.

Default Express Network Unlimited Calling Plans!

Thanks Budney, I use vision as my ISP for my home computer and that is about the speed that I usually get. Interesting that the speeds haven't gotten better in the last few months as the service has had time to evolve.

Default Express Network Unlimited Calling Plans!

Just a note on Verizon data plans...

The Express Network plans are only to use Verizon's high-speed data service. The basic data service, which runs at 14.4, is included with all plans (this is branded Mobile Office and/or QNC). However, the billing is like Sprint's old Wireless Web billing; usage is billed as package minutes out of your calling plan. No problem when it's after 9PM (or, if you have an older plan like me, 8PM) or on weekends, but it's awfully expensive during the day. Also, unlike Sprint's old Wireless Web plan, Verizon charges an additional fee if you use the mini-browser in your handset (either billed by the minute or as a monthly package).

Default Express Network Unlimited Calling Plans!

In SoCal, the unlimited plan is $79.99, but voice calls and connections using the old Quick to Net are 25 cents/min.

Default Express Network Unlimited Calling Plans!

Hello All,

Here is my latest report of Express Network. I love it. I have the unlimited plan at $79.99. I started three weeks ago. I use it A LOT. I am at this moment driving through rural Connecticut. I have been driving for three days, from Florida. There were very few spots where I had no connection.

At this moment my dslreports detail is:

2003-05-20 12:37:25 EST: 54 / 94
Your download speed : 54870 bps, or 54 kbps.
A 6.6 KB/sec transfer rate.
Your upload speed : 94206 bps, or 94 kbps.

THIS SERVICE ROCKS.........................
