Exact location will be at 9118 Van Nuys Blvd. I hope they can get it passed but you never know who will show up to fight it.

Happens all the time. You should see what happens when a new antenna proposal comes before a planning commission/City Council anywhere in Northern San Diego County or in Santa Monica & Malibu.

I spent weeks with the planning commision on a Building that I was on, that had antennas on it for years, and the some parents at the school complained and we had to hire lawyers, have studies down, it was a pain, this was on an old Bekins Storage building off El Cajon Blvd in SD just east of the 15. What a pain, I ended up just leaving the site and getting the FCC to let me move the licence elsewhere.

I have also been in meetings in Santa Rosa, CA and surrounding NIMBY communities, with people freaking out about Wireless Cable and 802.11b Wireless Broadband.

The amount of money it costs to fight this stuff is amazing. Plus you have to grease the wheels in certain communities with the Local Politicans to get this stuff put through also ( but you did not hear that from me).

Some carriers will give in and back down to NIMBY's and City Councils. Sprinticon will play hard ball with them and hash it out in court before backing down from anyone. I admire them for this.

No I have no idea what happened. I lost my contact with the city of LA so I probably won't be able to find out. I guess you'll just have to wait about 6 months and see if a new antenna comes up there.
