Default Seek:Prepaidwireless in CO ski mountain

Hi,
I've plan for visit some of CO' ski resort such as Keystone, Lovaland, A-basin, and Vail, next week for use communicate with my family at mountain.
So, I'm seeking prepaid cellphone.
I found a NOKIA1100 with 40min. card only 19.99 on Traccfom website.
Is it good for use above area or someone recommend me any other information.

Thanks in advance

BillRadio is from the area, he's the expert and will probably chime in shortly.
If I were you, I might look into getting Tracfone CDMA service. CDMA seems to work better in Colorado and seems to be more built out than GSM, at this point.

Yes, the Nokia 1100 tracfone will work OK. That model uses the Cingular GSM network. All of the major carriers work in all those areas...except A-Basin. You will be lucky to get any carrier to work there, although Verizon and Cingular are your best chances. But you won't be staying there, so everywhere else it will work for you.

All the major carriers have a cell site right at each ski area (except A-Basin). The only way you could do better is a CDMA model of TracFone, but I doubt it will be any cheaper, or that much better.

It appears you will be using this phone for a short period. If that's the case, Tracfone is a good choice since you won't have the time to work the "bugs" out of some of the other online deals.
