Call costumer service and tell them you would like to put a security fraud alert onto your account because you have lost your phone (or say someone stole your phone [that one might work better w/ CS]

Did you leave your phone on ?

Do you have GSM ?

Well if your phone has been leftt on and you have GSM Costumer Service should be able to locate were your phone is.

So just ask Cingular Costumer Service if they can find out were your phone is/

Good Luck...

If you have GSM, go to Ebay and buy an unlocked phone. If you don't need triband, they are cheap. Probably cheaper to buy a Cingular locked phone, let price drive your purchase.
Check out all phone specs at Phonescoop.com.
I bet you already knew this, but it is always good to repeat.

Yahoo!Man is correct. You need to call CS and tell them you lost your phone, and have no idea where it is. CS will then put a hold on your number, which will make the phone you lost not work & black list the IMEI # of the phone so no one can use the phone untill it is returned. Then I would ask CS if you can do a phone upgrade now, or if not when? If you can, then just go to your local Cingular Store. Make sure it is corporate, as you normally get better service with corporate stores. And pick out a new phone. You will have to sign a 1 or 2 year contract to get the discounted price on the phone. If you can't get an upgrade, then eBay will be your best bet. Any unlocked GSM phone 1900 MHz or 850/1900 MHz will work. You will need to get a new SIM card. At a corporate store the price will range from $0-$30, don't pay over $30 for the SIM. And the new SIM will have your old number.
