Default Razor Phone with T Mobile

I live near Sacramento CA & recently purchased a T-Mobile Razor along with the service. I was'nt to happy with the service at my home as the phone would only work outdoors. It worked indoors about 20% of the time. Everywhere else it was great reception.
I canceled my TM service before the 30 day period. I still have the V# Razor & can't find the sales receipt. I am planning on trying the Cingular service to see if it's any better.
My question is can i use the TM phone with Cingular service?
Do i need a new Cingular SIM Card?
Any feedback would be helpful.
Ben

Yes, BUT the phone would have to have its subsidy lock (also know as the SIM lock) removed, before it would operate with a non T-Mobile SIM. The analogy is phone(reduced price by subsidy) to safety razor(free with first blades), and airtime to blades.

Yes, you'll need a Cingular SIM to try Cingular service. You'll also need a Cingular phone, or an unlocked phone, to put the SIM into. With some searching online, you may find someone who is able to do it for a fee.
