Verizon Voicemail indicator problems

I have had two instances where the voicemail indicator did not register 2 very important calls on my Motorola V60i(?). It was reset by the phone tech rep (turned off/on, *22899) after the first time and then it happened again 1 week later. I have heard that it is related to the new system changes updated in the Northwest recently and that my phone is not GPS capable (sounds funny). I was in a Verison area both times. Anyone else not getting voicemail notices on their phone?

I had that problem on my v60i, it was fixed once I purchased another phone, which was 1X which the v60i was not.
