| Since their so-precious NIMBY law got struck down, now all of a sudden they need to think about this? I think Sprint is right -- this is retaliation. |

This is war and Sprint has never backed down from anyone. Here's a few notable cases Sprint has won in the past 5 years: Westminster Rancho Palos Verdes Laguna Beach Del Mar La Mesa Berkeley Malibu La Canada Flintridge They've lost: San Marcos Rancho Santa Fe |

I'm sure the county's lawyers will advise the county government to tread carefully in this matter or risk further litigation.

The interesting thing here now will be watching for site consolidation/optimization with the Nextel locations. I'd imagine there will be alot of permits being applied for but they should be reasonably fast (as far as government permits go) because I think colocations are a shorter process. G.

Yes co-locations are often a shorter process but not always. Believe it or not some cities have the same process for co-location as they do for new sites.

jerks... I totally agree that they're the same idiots that whine to their carrier about bad coverage and dropped calls, yet refuse to allow more towers to be built in their town because they're an "eyesore". I don't consider them to be an eyesore at all. Heck, I love seeing a cell tower since it means that my chances of getting good signal are better. We have towers strewn about the countryside here and nobody complains in the least. It's great.
