The long awaited new Sprint tower in Diamond Bar near Pantera Park is under construction! It's going to be a pine tree located next to Cingular's panels (which are mounted on the water tank) above Eastgate Dr. It will improve coverage to the residential area as well as Grand Ave. on the Diamond Bar/Chino Hills border (where there currently is no signal at all by most providers). I'll post some pictures in a few days when the branches are attached.

Oh man, that'll be nice! I'm with Sprint and although I rarely ever get any reception problems, it'll be nice to know that section of the county is finally getting some solid coverage.

Update!! The new Sprint tower in Diamond Bar is now on the air. It must have come on sometime over the weekend. The entire residential area that used to have no coverage has good coverage now. In addition this fills in a complete dead zone (most carriers don't work here) along Grand Ave between Diamond Bar and Chino Hills. I've waited a long time for this. Nice work Sprint!

I've attached some pics but I couldn't get very close to take better pics. The tower is disguised as a tree (that blends in very well) to the right of the water tank on top of the hill.

Verizon is supposedly spending 1 Billion dollars every 90 days on network improvements and yet I never hear of any new Verizon sites going up. Hmmmm Sprint is starting to look good especially with their Cafeteria style add ons. WTF Verizon.

I'm sure Verizon is adding some new towers here in So. Calif. but honestly not at the rate as the other carriers (Sprint, Cingular, AT&T) are. Remember every carrier claims it's spending billions on network improvements but it's hard to keep track of where that is actually occuring.
