With all the new features available for your phone, it's hard to keep track of everything that's available outhere especially for new members, thanks for the heads up M6....

Speaking of which I saw a cell phone program on the Travel Channel and in Japan (Tokyo), you can put your phone in front of a vending machine and it scans some sort of barcode or something similar to that on your phone and it pays for your snack or drink.

The show didn't do into much detail about the show....since it showed some women using her phone to buy a drink...and the show was mostly about following workers in Tokyo and show how busy it is in Tokyo. I think the carrier was NTT DoCoMo, but I am not sure.

Images: 54 | http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2004/...in631231.shtml Here's an old story on the subject. They do use RFID. As of the writing, none had been "pickpocketed" either. |

It looks like it would be handy, but after visiting their fourm it seems a lot of people like me can't use it because it only allows shortcode which my provider (CellOne) does not allow. I tried one of the other free 411 info sites that uses a ten digit number and it worked. I just wish Google would make theirs avalible with a ten digit number as well. |

I was playing around tonite and found a couple of similar sites one which is www411sms.com, what is strange is that if you try to find the site with Google it returns a not found message but with Yahoo or Excite it shows right up.

That's pretty neat! I like how google and SMS have been getting together to make nice search themed sms babies I use google maps allot and since google will text me the info or even make the calls for me. Ahh, I've become even more lazy
