That's an old website that links you to the FCC database. However, since the minority of towers are registered with the FCC, chances are you won't find many in your area.

Ok, now that I have the tower location, registration, etc. Is there anyway to find out what companies are using it? I am told Cingular has coverage in the area I am checking but is there a way to find out for sure?

That would explain why I could only get one tower for my area when I know there are at least three.

There are other reasons why you might only find one tower.

Lately, I have seen a number of posts on this forum and other forums discusing the "inaccuracy" or "incompleteness" of the FCC database and sites that recycle its data. One large problem is that the search tool on the Berkana website refers to the registrant. Unfortunately, many towers are registered under the original license holder's name. Most wireless carriers fail to update the registrations with their new DBA name.

So when someone says that the searches turned up nothing under Verizon, there is an equally good chance that there are no towers in the area or that they may be listed under one of the entities that were assembled to become Verizon. (Airtouch, ect)

Also, the carriers have been doing a much better job at registering individual sites since 2001. And the FCC data is better maintained at least in my opinion having worked with it thoroughly over the last 7 years.
