My Krazr is down to 20 min of talk time. Have already swapped a bunch of batteries. I am up for my new every two. My work give me a blackberry for data - just need a good compact voice phone. I like the size and feel of thr Krazr. Any suggestions on what to get next? Thanks Derek.- |

If you're not worried about a full color outside display, you have a couple of choices from Motorola, with the W385 and the W315, which had basic outside displays. There are a lot of basic to mid-level phones that aren't expensive since you already have a BB for work use. Verizon's site now has user reviews for all of their phones. I'd suggest checking these out also to get a better feel for how other users feel about their phones.

I have to agree with the W385... the downside is that now, the W385 is being sold as a refurbished device by Verizon. I don't know whether I am willing to trust a refurb'd phone. I would stay away from any Samsung that is free before the new every 2 discount (like the Knack, U430, U340). I decided to give Samsung a try when I bought the Glyde. I like it overall but it is too much work for the basic functions. It may be overkill for you. I just hope I can make it past the 9 month mark with the Glyde. If you want a basic phone, I'd look at the the Motorola (VU204, Rapture, or maybe the V750 if its the right price for you) or the LG(VX5500, enV2, VX8360) phones. Keep your options open since you have an extra $50-$100 to work with... don't limit yourself to the free phones |

| It didn't go by the "razr2" name, but yes they did. It's been discontinued for quite a while now. All the major carriers offered it.

No verizon called it the Razr 2 (or MotoRazr2 v9m). The two looked more like a mathematical equation for square though. But they did call it the MOTORARZ 2 v9m. Alteast on my box for the v9m they did. |
