I bought the Storm around April 6th and according to Verizon policy, I have 30 days to return it. I've heard they are coming out with a firmware update for the Verizon version but I doubt the firmware will be out in time. What I don't like about the phone is that is generally unresponsive, slow and the pressing of the keyboard I like sometimes but other times it gets annoying. The camera is really nice but then again I don't need it. Back to the problem at hand, it is unresponsive. Takes a little while to register my click/touch even though Tap Interval and Hover Period are at 100 (lowest) and Swipe Sensitivity is at its highest. Sometimes the phone works, other times it takes forever to open a folder or a program. I used to have the VX9400 which was a "real" phone without a touchscreen and I never seemed to have any major problems with it. My Storm, on the other hand, has terrible battery life. I had a week off, and I would unplug the phone from the charger around 10 or 11 AM and it would be dead by 6 in the afternoon while it charged all night. I had played with my friend's iPod Touches for a while, so maybe I am spoiled with a good touch screen, but the Storm seems to be a disgrace. It is also hard to text fast because the screen doesn't pop up in time for me to press the same letter. I didn't really mean to write a ranting review, but here is my question: Should I take it back and get the LG Dare? I would get the Dare but my brother has it so it might be a little confusing. I am not too much a fan on physical qwerty keyboards (like on the Voyager/enV). From this, I would expect the Dare to be best for me but I have no idea, does anyone have an suggestions for a phone which responsive and not slow which has relatively good battery life and I couldn't care less if it had a keyboard or not. Also, I saw the Versa UI which was pretty cool, does anyone think they might create something similar for the Dare as an update? If so, I would definitely get the Dare. |

It sounds like you want the Dare. I'd go for that if I were you. The Versa's OK, but the Dare is much nicer, IMO. Plus the Dare comes as is, the Versa has a detachable keyboard you'd have to keep track of. As far as the Storm goes, BB needs to do some more work on that phone...

Sorry to hear that you don't like your Storm essd. I have heard that the Dare is a good phone. When you return your Storm I believe there will be a $35 restocking fee.

To be completely honest. The Versa is actually an upgrade on the Dare. The Versa runs a faster processor and runs much smoother than the LG Dare. The Dare is a great phone without question but for the extra $30 the Versa's versatility makes it a much bigger asset.
