Hey guys, Ive been on a family plan for a while, but I want to get myself a new phone because this one is going to absolute sh*t. I think they renewed the contract, which I guess means I didnt get the 'new every 2' deal, as it says im next eligible for an upgrade in another year. (And ive had this phone for atleast 4 years.) Anyway, Ive been thinkin about getting a blackberry, but only if I could implement it into the family plan. Heres what Im thinkin I can do, but I just want to be sure before I go ahead and buy a bberry. I'll pickup a blackberry off eBay. Activate it on the verizon site under my number. Then Im thinking id be able to add the blackberry data plan, and Im also thinking my voice plan would carry over from my old phone? Anyone have any experience with this. Thanks! |

Im also thinkin you should be careful when buying the phone on ebay. I'm thinkin you should make sure the esn is able to be activated and not reported stolen or lost. Voice plan would remain the same. | |

That's how my family plan is set up... I have 3 lines and I have a BB on the primary line... The voice plan carries over. All you need to do is just add the BB and the desired BB data plan and all is set.

You have to get the data plan when you get the phone. It is 30 a month, not including text.
