Default Moto Adventure Stereo Adapter

Hello,

Does anyone know why all the standard 3 ring 2.5mm to 3.5mm stereo adapters work on my wife's LG ENV2, but I have have to get the one from verizon for it to work on my Adeventure v750? I ordered the one on the Internet for Motorola cell phones and got burned. The standard 3 ring from radio shack does not work either. Only the expensive, pain in the butt to order from Verizon itself will work and interrupt the speaker and put music through the headphones.

Thanks!
