Thanks for this forum... Okay, I am a child. I was so frustrated after losing a connection on my LG-VX6100 five times in a row when I had all the bars, etc, etc... that I tore the flip off it. Right. I deserve whatever headaches I have... and after my wife beat me, I have some! But... I was about to upgrade to the VX8350 and so now I guess I will have to... Verizon in Los Angeles. Can anyone advise as to the methods used to get data off a phone (the phone, bless its little heart, still works with an earbud, can receive and make calls, just no screen to view progress, etc on or number entering, etc). I have had repeated connection issues in Pasadena, CA and other points on the 210 Frwy and I am "hoping" the newer VX8350 will provide better reception (? Anyone ?) Lastly, as I have been running "month to month" and note a 'new" phone requires 'a new commitment", will I be able to keep my SAME plan ( I've had it for nearly 4 years and the 'new' ones now are all about $30 more per month - two phones). Thanks for any help... |

You should be able to keep your plan if you upgrade to the 8350... As long as you don't need to make any changes to your minutes. If you have both (or at least the bottom?), the reps at the Verizon corporate store might be able to transfer the contacts for you from the mangled phone to the 8350. Verizon LGs typically are reliable in terms of signal.

Many thanks for the response and information. Went to a Verizon store locally but could not get any help, they were all on their cell phones and NOT one person came over to help as we looked at the phones. Will try a Pasadena Verizon store tomorrow. Thanks again! |

I have not had signal complaints on much of any 8350 phones. They are reasonably a good phone. On another note...there should not be an issue getting your contacts, pics and vids out of your phone. I have done it before on a 8800 (venus) that the slider had slid completely apart. |
