Default LG VX8300 Prepaid Plan
My service plan is almost up and I want to switch to a low cost plan like a prepaid pay as you go plan. Can I use my LG VX8300 phone as a pay as you go phone? Do I need to somehow unlock it? Or do I just have to get a new special phone? Thanks.

Provided you're staying with Verizon (or going to Page Plus), you can keep your phone and number. When your contract expires, call customer service and they will be able to help... Verizon prepaid customer service: 888-294-8804

Thanks for the info. Can I change to prepaid over the phone or do I have to go down to a local store to switch over?
