New phone for different user

My mom was going to order the LG Dare on her account but just give the phone to me to use on mine. we are all on the same plan but she is the account holder. i was wondering if she wood have to activate the phone on her account first then switch it to mine or if i cood just take it right when it gets here.

If she used her NE2 discount to upgrade, then most likely she would have to activate the phone on her line and accept the new two-year agreement. Afterward she could put the deactivated phone back on her line (removing the Dare to temporarily deactivate it from being connected with any line), then put the Dare on your line.

It wouldn't hurt to try and activate the Dare on your line when it comes in. If it doesn't work, you'll know right away, then follow the steps above.
