Default Data Plan Negotiation

Has anyone been successful in negotiating for a cheaper data plan? Some competitors (such as Sprint) have cheaper voice/data plans and or data plans.

Not sure what's there to negotiate... The best way to lower your Verizon bill is to find some discounts, and even then your bill may still be higher than the other competitors. In my case, I do get a 15% discount off my 1st line because I am a state employee. And I get 20% off the data plan since there's no family plan that bundles data... Not really sure whether folks with family plans and data qualify or if this discount is also part of the state employee program.

If you find something that's cheaper and suits your needs, maybe it's time to switch... No matter what deal you get, Some companies will always have something more for leSs money.

Sprint's discount used to be if you called and complained enough to the right people, they would give you a recurring credit. I hear those days are over now and they are a lot stricter on the credits now.
