V3m (Verizon Hell) access management

Good day, all. Have attempted to hack the registery of the V3m with the software
from "mypieceoftheinter.net" to rid myself of the strange orange front cover and
allow easy editing of the contacts and desktops, etc. Bought TWO aftermarket managers
(Handset Manager by Mobile Action and Mobile Phone management tool by the same people)
with no avail. It'll talk with the handset, but I only have the option of editing my contacts - nothing else. Dont really give a damn about playing music or texting, just an old fart trying to clean up his act. So, could someone please advise how to unlock this otherwise bullet-proof instrument so that i can do a little custom on it.
