"Driver"? I need one...Not computer savvy

Hello all,

I am SO confused... I need (apparently) a "driver" for my USB port. I do know that that is

I have a Mint Cholocate from Verizon...an LG 8500.

I have searched as best as I can, the internet in search for "drivers", but I really don't know what I'm looking for, or where to find this phantom "driver".

I know it's something simple...b/c I used to watch my (now ex) husband do this all the time.

Should'a paid more attention I suppose!!

I have BitPim downloaded on my computer, but it won't recognize my phone. I am such a ding bat when it comes to computers, and I really would so appreciate ANY help or suggestion.
