I am looking for some advice on a "no frills" Verizon phone that gets the best reception. My Dad lives in Portland, OR and the coverage there is pretty thin. Thank you in advance for any information!

My husband uses the Moto W385 and it seems to be a pretty solid, basic phone.

I went from a Moto v325 (great reception) to a LG vx5400 that also has great reception. I got a little bit of echo now & then with the v325 but have not noticed any with the vx5400. I think both models are excellent , no-frills handsets. If you need a cell phone for talking then these are two of the best.

I have the LG 8350 and I have no problems with reception. I sell the motorola w385,w755,LG env2, 8350, samsung 410,550.the feedback I get is the 385,755,8350 all have decent reception. But because of the "candy bar"style of the env2 It seems to get the best reception of all that I have mentioned. not to mention the best battery that I have heard of,talk time and stand by (for Verizon). As for no frills, best reception. w385. I have sold a couple hundred of them, and I just don't see them come back with problems.(knocking on wood). good basic phone! As for the 5400, good phone. The 325,not a bad phone as long as you have a good supply of batteries. That phone has BATTERY ISSUES!!!!!!!! Steer clear.
