verizon phone situation.

Ok, here's the deal. My dad and I decided to upgrade our phones. However, my dad had the ability to get a phone i wanted for free by my number couldnt get that same price. So the plan was that he would get the phone he wanted through me and i would get the phone i wanted at that price he could get. Now that i have the phones I want to activate the phone my dad got for my number and activate the phone I got for my dad. Is it possible to do this online by myself and if so, how would i do it. otherwise would i have to go to the store and deal with their activation fees which kinda stinks. thanks in advance.

ok after reading the forum i learned about the ne2 deal for the primary line in the plan. well a simplified form of that question is can i activate a phone i bought with my dads ne2 discount for myself and if so how would i do it?

Yeah you can activate that new phone on your line. Also to activate it either call Customer Service or go online to Verizon Wireless and do it there.

First thing you need to activate it on the phone number it was bought for to bring the ESN to active status in Verizons system. Then after that do existing equipment for your line. To be honest I would call up Verizon 611 from your cell phone and activate it through them. Tell them the online activation was not working for you and they should be able to help.

Be sure to tell them the online activation was not working for you, otherwise they will charge you for the ESN swtich.
