| that should be no problem at the store. I've had my phone book transferred between different brands at the store without a problem. I had my phone book transferred from an LG to a Samsung and from a Motorola Q to a BlackBerry. So it's just whether the store has the software available. Regarding the possible fees, from what I can tell, if you're upgrading at a store, the reps sometimes offer to do it for free although they don't have to do it. Also, the op could download Back up software onto the V3c and when he gets the W385, just put it on there and the contacts download automatically. This is free if he has online access to his account. |

| The new Cellbrite machines can transfer pictures, ringtones, and other data. It is dependent on the phones, however, if it works or not. Another option the machine will do is back up to a USB thumb drive. I don't know if anyone is offering it as a service, but the machines will do it. They cost about a grand, but most corporate stores either have them or will be getting them. |
