Here is the story I have the 90 dollar a month family plan and 4 lines total so total the monthly bill is 110. My two year contract is up in September. is my main account the only account that gets ANY kind of discount for a new phone?

The $100 off discount is a primary line benefit only.

| If you want the NE2 pricing for a different line you can get it on your primary and wait until the next day to switch phones. I did this last January.

| I second macsesso on this. You can use the primary line $100 savings for a phone and them move it to one of the other lines via online ESN swap on the VZ site (though only the main account holder has the option to make the change).

Ok so all the lines still get the discounted 2 year contract phones? That was what I was wondering about.

How can I do the ESN swap on the VZ site? Where do I find it? I have been looking around the Verizon site and haven't found anything yet. Thanks for your help! | |

When you are signed in to "My Account", you see a synopsis of information. In the second column, you should see "My Services" and a picture of your phone (or a phone) and a "Go" button. When you select "Go", you are taken to the "My Services" main page. Next to an enlarged image of your phone, you will see a series of options, one of which will be "Activate Phone" (it will be colored blue and highlighted as a link). Selecting the "Activate Phone" link will take you to the selections screen, asking you for what kind of activation it will be. Select the appropriate option. It should take you to a screen where you will enter the ESN (Electronic Serial Number) to activate the phone. Follow the directions. If you receive a message saying the activation was NOT successful, you can then call Verizon and they will do the activation for you at NO charge. Some types of activations cannot be done online. Why? I have no idea? Most activations should occur without a problem. Good luck! |
