Default ALLTEL M800 Bag Phone

Hey All,

OK so my car installed analog only phone is a paperweight now and Verizon wireless said the ONLY phone like it is the Motorola M800 bag phone.

Great, I found one and bought it. It works great. Verizon cannot find the ESN. No activation permitted.

Any workarounds? Reflash to Verizon? Trade with someone with a verizon M800?

HELP!!

Rick
P.S. I read the sticky...looking for a reprogramming solution more than anything else.

What do you mean Verizon can't find the ESN? Do you mean they can't find it in their system and won't activate it because it's not theirs or they can't physically find the ESN on the phone itself?

On the left side of the bag, there are two rectangular openings. The one towards the front is for connectors, the one towards the back has a label that has the serial number and ESN on it. That's where you get the ESN.

To reprogram you just dial 74663# and then hit MENU twice and it takes you into the NAM programming menu.

No problem finding the printed ESN nor the hex version in the phone. programs fine. Their system says the ESN doesn't exist. They even tried "forcing" it at the switch. No dice.

This is a real pita.

Any ideas?
