hi again everyone. I am agonizing over a Verizon phone for my godparents. The both had E815 and they are the best but one is dying now. I just looked at the phonescoop and cnet reviews of the LG VX8350. Does anyone have this phone and can you answer these questions: 1. Speakers were moved to the back of the phone can an older person still hear the speakerphone okay with the speakers on the back. I did hear that it speakerphone is full duplex so that is good. 2. Lots of people complain that the front buttons get hit music turns on: two questions on this: If my goddad does not download any music I assume this will not be an issue right or does some music come installed by default? 3. Is there a way to disable the front buttons as far as any one knows? Thanks for the input. |

I have had the (Red) LG 8350 for over a month now, with no complaints at all so far. The only thing that I have read about in some of the reviews on this phone, in which I would agree with, is that it is almost impossible to open with one hand. I do not have the problem with the front keys accidentally turning on the music player easily, as others have said. I keep mine in a closed case that I am constantly opening and closing, and have only had the keys activated one time. If there is no music on the phone, you will get an error message, that will go away, once you open the phone and hit the power key. Sometimes I will even tap the middle music key in order to activate the front display, so that I can see the time, and the music player will not come on. As far as I know, there is no way to disable the front keys. The speakers even though located on the back of the phone are loud and clear. Most of the time, keeping the speakerphone set to medium is enough for me to hear. Overall, the LG 8350 is great. It does what a phone is suppose to do, makes and receives calls in every location that I have tested it out in so far. Let me know if you have any other questions. |

| Wirelessly posted (Sammy U540: SCH-U540/1.0 NetFront/3.0.22.2.5 (GUI) MMP/2.0) I have the u540 and I think that the touch screen on the front ironse sensitive than the LG with its buttons. But at least my phone has a lock button on the side to disable the touch screen. |

Hello, Did you ever find a solution? I have the same problem. If the outside music keys are bumped accidently, the music player starts. My VX8350 Users Manual from Verizon says on page 27 that the three outside keys control the music player "ONLY" when the Music Player has been started from the V CAST menu. This problem seems to be a flaw the VX8350. Thanks. |

Knowing Verizon UI limitations, probably not.

You know what I really would not worry about the buttons. It is not like the button has to be pushed it has to be held in for a second or to. Also no there is no way to lock them. The speaker is one of the best I have heard in a very long time. Go down there try it you have 30 days if you dont like it then get something else.

If you don't ever use the front buttens then you can drop a few drops of super glue on them to make them inoperable.
