Default Adding a new i760 to existing plan?

Hey all, A few months back my wife and I merged our separate Verizon accounts into a family share plan to take advantage of her work discount.

My line is now a sub line of her family share plan. My line currently has the web access that is $5 a month and uses minutes instead of charging per mb.

If I buy an i760 and activate it on my line will I get switched over to the per mb smartphone pricing in the process of doing this?

I currently have a Samsung A930.

No, you wont be switched. Since you are going to be using a smartphone, you'll have to choose one of the data plans: Data block, Pay per use ($0.015/kb), $25 for 10 MB, or $45 for unlimited data.

Your wife may get a 20% discount if a data pack is chosen for the I760...

Oh well.... if all fails, you can use the wifi

Thanks for the clarification.

Since I'm paying $5 for web access currently, that $40 increase per month is still about $20 less a month than if I jumped ship to get an Iphone...

Thumbs up Re: Adding a new i760 to existing plan?

I ended up going with an SMT5800 over the i760 and am really glad I did. I've got all the ability to modify that comes with a Windows Mobile machine with a much nicer form fact and a qwerty keyboard.

Thanks again for the info on how the data plans work!

No, the phone is a Samsung... the SCH I760. It is a Windows Mobile 6 slider smartphone. It features wifi. I think this phone is a Verizon exclusive.

Neat! No problem... glad that you got your question answered. I have to agree, the I760 is a gigantic phone LOL It's not for everyone
