Hello all,

I'm in the cell phone market for the first time in 6 years (switching jobs, had to give up my work BlackBerry). I'm 95% sure I want to get the new LG Voyager for $300, but my only reservation is the unknown of what will happen to prices in the near future after I take the plunge.

Is there precedence for a highly trumpeted phone such as this coming out just before Black Friday and then going down in price for or soon after Black Friday, or do you guys see it staying steady at $300 for quite a while? Also, there are no rebates on the phone now, unlike just about every other phone on the market. Thoughts on how soon the rebates might kick in?

I am not sure when it will be out, but I would wait til right b4 or right after Christmas as thats when most major price drops occur.
On a side note, what would you suggest as the best phone (on the Verizon network) to use for full web access? I need a phone for my new position that I have to log into my technician account to view and/or accept work orders. Thanks.

I would try out the blackberry pearl and with the new plan being $30 you can quit a bit.

I would wait till it's out. And then go to a Verizon store and try it out. This way you can play aroud with it and see if you like how it works.

I think you should buy it now. I mean it already has a $50 rebate. It's probably gonna stay at $300 for a while like some other phones or maybe drop like $50 in like 2008 but not like a $200 drop. Hope this helps. The Voyager seems really cool. I would buy it but I recently got the LG Chocolate VX8550.
