How would I go about cancelling 1 line of a family share plan which is made up of only 2 lines? WIll I be charged 175 x 2? or will the 1 remaining line be able to stay on the family share plan by itself, or will a new plan be made? Also, if I choose to port the primary number on the plan, would I need to switch the secondary to the primary before I port the number? Thanks so much! |

To elaborate a little more on Ryan's post: You would be charged $175 for the one line you are canceling, you would switch to a single line plan. Whichever line remains after the port becomes primary. As Ryan said, Verizon will take care of that part of it. Just make sure you don't cancel the line with Verizon. Just do the port and the carrier you port to will take care of the rest. After the port is done, call Verizon and make sure your plan is changed and that everything is set on your account.

Would I get a choice in what plan they switch the remainaing line to? Would this consititute a new plan? (2yrs starts over?) If so, would the remaining line be eligible for a new phone?

| With all respect, would it not be better to just call VZW and ask how they could help you do what you are trying to achieve?

| You would have the choice of the plan you'd be switched to. You would be renewing for another two years, but it would NOT affect your New Every 2 date. But you could always ask and see what they could do. If you wanted to buy a new phone, you might have to pay full price, but it never hurts to ask.
