I was at a art fair yesterday, and when I passed the Sprint booth I couldn't believe what the agent told me......He said " If I new anybody working for Boeing I would automatcally get a 25% discount off my monthly phone bill". It was a new friends and family discount for Boeing. Oh! forgot to mention.....lol I didn't switch! I was at the mall tonight and the guys at the AT&T booth was offering the same Boeing deal! Maybe it's because it's a new deal they setup with Boeing & this doesn't mean anything about Verizon hurting Sprint or anyone else, they just have made a deal with the carriers to give employee's a discount on their service. I get it from AT&T thru the State of NJ, but they have a deal with Verizon & Sprint as well it's just a negotiated plan. I bet Verizon has something for the Boeing employees as well, have you checked with them on it yet?

But you don't understand! I don't work for Boeing!!!! But if I know anybody that does then I'm qualified for the 25% discount, just by being their friend!

Images: 293 | I am still confused, even if you know someone that works for them, doesn't mean you could get a discount, you have to verify employment with the company.

Images: 293 | I guess you like to scam a company & I know I had to send verification of my employment including my ID to get a discount. Just because you have an email address isn't the end of it, when you send the signed form back to them.

Images: 167 | Or in other words you are pretending to be a Boeing Employee? If Boeing is anything like the company I work for (we get a 15% discount from AT&T), you friend has fullfilled all the necessary criterion to get fired by allowing a non-employee to use his company E-Mail.

First off I work for Boeing so I know first hand what Im talking about. Boeing offers cell discounts through verizon, sprint, t-mobile, and now at&t (cingular) they are all 25% off monthly bill and hardware. Except t-mobile is only 20%. Secondly, if your friend gives out his email for that use and Boeing finds out he will be in trouble. Im sure he knows that though as Boeing drills that into you ever chance they get. |

Lets see if he can get fired for fraud is basically what the OP is trying to say he wants to do to his friend.

lol...........First of all I was approached by a salesman from a Sprint booth trying to sign me up. He was one who asked me if I new anybody who worked for Boeing. He also had a sign that said "Boeing friend and family discount 25% off. So it didn't have anything to do with me trying to cheat the system. When I went to the mall the guys in the AT&T booth were hocking the same plan!!!!! Maybe this is a regional promo? but it seems like a push is on to sign up as many customers as possible. I did go into the VZW corp store (Southcenter Mall Tukwila) and asked a agent about the Boeing discount for family and friends and he laughed and said "were hurting them aren't we..lol" So one more time, I was approached by the guys at the Bellevue Art Fair Sprint Booth! I new nothing about the promo until they told me. And one more thing, I have been with Sprint before and learned you get what you pay for. It was worth spending a little more money and get superior service thats why I went with Verizon. ( I can call CS as much as I want and not affraid of getting a dear john letter...lol) |

Then Maybe you shouldn't post things that are deceptive in nature & make people think something that you didn't mean. Oh and why would you have posted all you needed was the email of a boeing friend to get this deal if that's not what you meant? I guess the guy at the Verizon booth/store didn't realize they all had a deal with Boeing & he should become a better educated salesman.

Excuse me! I meant everything I posted..... nothing deceptive here! If I have a friend that works for Boeing I can get 25% off at Sprint and At&t. It's that plain and simple. It's the Boeing friends and family plan. Gesh.... |

I am not trying to argue with you, but you made your posts seem like you thinking about doing this with Verizon, Not Sprint or AT&T, maybe you should re-read your posts & you will see why you are giving the impression you want to do this with Verizon. So it wasn't that "Plain & Simple" as you are trying to make it out now. Gesh.....

Just out of curiosity how does Boeing define "friend"? Does someone who buys you a drink at a bar one night count? Gesh Quote:

This just sounds like an excuse for the OP to do some Verizon cheerleading and Sprint bashing. *rolling eyes*

It would nice if everyone put their location on posts or sidebar info. That way when someone make a claim of good or bad service others can know what area they are concerned with..

This is kinda of funny and interesting at the same time. I never troll into another carriers forum. It really doesn't interest me. But dang...look at all the Sprint/At&t people coming here....lol. Don't you guys have enough to read in your own forum...lol

| I wouldn't call other members of WA "Trolls" just because they post in the Verizon forum, without actually having Verizon as their wireless carrier. If they have information to be shared with other members on here then it seems to me that it would be perfectly acceptable for them to post in any of the forums on WA regardless of what carrier they have.
