Default New phone suggestions

I am coming up to the new every 2. I currently have the motorola v276 which I love, but if I can get a free phone, why not? I need suggestions from people. I don't care at all about mp3 player, video or texting. I don't really need a camera either but if it has one, I do use it for taking pics for my background. I like the size of the v276, the flip style and the thickness although I am not totally opposed to the slimmer phones. I did look at the lg vx8700 and while I do like it, I don't LOVE it. I have read a bit about the battery weakness and the heating up of the phone. I did like the 8600 but don't like where the volume and speakerphone button are. They are on the top of the flip. It's very awkward when you are in the middle of a conversation to have to find them. I'd prefer it on the lower portion, where my fingers are when I talk. What phone's are available with good reception and good battery strength? thanks for any and all suggestions.

i have the lg vx8600 your gonna find that the volume rocker being up top there isnt that big of a deal as you will most lily just alway hve the volume all the way up and if you need to change it, its not that hard to roll you hand up and give it a few clicks. the one thing is that the speaker phone isnt exactly the loudest but other then that its a great looking and working phone. i would personally stay away from the vx 8500 or AKA the chocalte. i also had the motorola krazr and hated it

well from my standpoint i can care less where the volume buttons are...........the 8600 is a great one. good reception great screen quality.....call quality is outstanding...........only thing i gotta pick on is the speakerphone capability........it has to be the worst of any phone i have owned but its a great phone for making calls period.
