Hello everyone. I am new to Verizon Wireless & this forum has been a BIG help!! I have a quick question. I dropped my LG EnV & do not want to pay the nearly 300.00 to get another one (as we know Verizon's insurance is NOT the best). So I want to purchase a RAZR from a friend but he is on pre-paid account. Can I activate his Near new RAZR on my post paid acct. (His pre-paid acct is closed now)

I once had this same problem. First i had Verizon pre-paid and they charged too much so i wanted to switch to post-paid and they said you could do it. So just call customer service first, before your friend cancels his pre-paid account, just to make sure they can switch it and then he could cancel it or get a new phone. -Chris |

cwt341 I haven't had my verizon account 30 days yet & they tried to tell me that insurance would not pay for my replacement phone that soon(It doesn't make sense to me either but I need my phone & do not have time to argue). I was on a worksite when I dropped it so you know I was mad. motokrzr14 thx for sharing your experience. That is what I was told as well but after having such a bad experience with another carrier I always make it a point to ask others about the same scenario & then go from there. Thanks to everyone who responded. |

| One little correction here. If the OP had insurance Verizon would either refer him/her to the insurance company, or they might give him/her one of their $50.00 RFU. But they will not give out a new phone.

I replied to your other thread here http://forums.wirelessadvisor.com/ve...tml#post454056 (When I buy another EnV can I see my phone BEFORE the new one comes...) (read post #5 on how to set up a new RAZR INPulse phone on your account). | |
