Hey, my family just opened a Verizon plan with a 2 year plan. It was that plan with 1400 minutes for 89.99 with 2 additional lines at 9.99 each. We also took 2 $10 text plans. We just opened it 2 days ago. We ported our number from T-Mobile. A friend of mine, found a great plan with internet service and now we want to cancel this plan and go to Sprint. I know that Verizon has that road test thing, what do I have to do? I want to cancel Verizon but at the same time keep my number. Do I just go to Sprint and just open a new plan and ask for them to port our numbers and cancel that service? Do I have go to Verizon and ask them to cancel my service? Then how would I port my numbers to the service I want? I also brought new phones, do I get a refund? Thanks a lot! |

Try this link for details; Do NOT cancel your current service; go to Sprint (or whatever company) and port over your number.

That's true, but a lot of people seem to be happier with Sprint lately, I don't know how the OP will make out in the NYC/NJ area with it, but my Buzz has been fairly decent with coverage on 1900Mhz only. I only had 3 places around here with no coverage & couldn't force roam it to Verizon, which meant they didn't have 1900 Mhz coverage. The only problem with the Buzz is I couldn't see if their was 850 Mhz coverage since the phone lacks it & Verizon may have been able to provide a signal with the 850. | |
