Default I'm Back: Again

Well, for the 2nd time in two weeks, my at&t account was charged another ETF for no apparent reason.

I called customer care and the rude lady put me on hold for 20 minutes then disconnects the line. She doesn't even call back.

I called back a 2nd time. The billing rep says I must of done something 'cause ETF's don't just show up by themself and I have to pay the ETF. She says she'll credit it back the next cycle if I pay it upfront. She then told me that if I wanted her to compromise, then I have to compromise. I wrote to: stan.sigman@cingular.com and I'm curious to see if I get a response back.

Who am I dealing with? Street pigeons from South Central? I didn't feel like getting ghetto from my desk phone. That was the straw that broke the camel's back.

The port back took less than 4 minutes. Feels good to be home again. VZW gave me a bonus 1,200 minutes, free LG vx8700 and a $ 120 bill credit. I didn't even ask for the free phone or bill credit. I guess they missed my $ 300 per month. I did have to agree to a one year comittment.

It's unfortunate you had all of the problems you did with AT&T. There are plenty of customers that have never had issues with them, but the law of averages says that somebody will. I've had my fair share of problems in the past with Cingular, myself, but none lately.

Hopefully Verizon will work out better for you this time. Good luck and oh, by the way, sweet deal you got!!
